Overview Redesigned with a metal exterior under the Art category, the Sigma 30mm F2.8 ART EX DN HSM Lens for Sony (Silver) is a high-performance standard lens designed exclusively for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. It has the equivalent angle of view as a 60mm lens (35mm equivalent focal length) on the Micro Four Thirds systems and 45mm (35mm equivalent focal length) on the E-mount system. Two glass mold aspherical lenses, including a double-sided aspherical lens, provide excellent correction for all types of aberration. The inner focusing system corrects the fluctuation of aberration to maintain image quality regardless of the focal distance. Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting as well as provides sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum aperture. The superior telecentric optical design improves the image quality throughout the frame. The optical design also allows the lens to be compact and lightweight.

    Great Lens

    I have many vintage primes for my Sony a6000. One of the modern primes I have used is the Sigma 60mm f2.8. The images have always been sharp but it isn't my favorite focal length for an APS camera. I wanted to buy the F1.4 Sigma but the cost was a bit high and the articles I read stated that the Sigma f2.8 was sharper. I have been very pleasantly surprised how good the lens is. Images are very sharp and the lens can create a nice Bokeh. I am very satisfied.

    An amazing entry level prime lens

    Pros: - Very sharp image quality - Amazing price for a superb prime lens - 35mm focal length is very versatile for everyday photography - Good build quality - It comes with a nice pouch Cons: - It does rattle when not connected to the camera (but it is normal they say) - no image stabilization (personally, it's not a con for me because I don't take videos) - not really anything bad here considering the price point :) If you have an e-mount camera, this nifty prime should be a first to buy for a starter (like me)

    Excellent Lens Kit

    I ordered the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 lens EX DN Art for Sony E-Mount from Circuit City. It came with a kit that has everything you need and then some - 3 lens filters, 16GB memory card, lens/camera cleaning kit. The lens itself is awesome. Crisp, fast autofocus and very compact. So convenient to have the filters in the kit rather than ordering them separately like I would have had to do. Once I got the package, I installed the UV filter, inserted the memory card, formatted it and began immediately testing it out on my Sony A6300. Works great! Strongly recommend getting this lens as a kit from Circuit City. I received it promptly.

    Great lens

    I like it because the auto focus works great using my a6300 and my a6500. The in body stabilization on my a6500 works with this lens. The lens is a 2.8 which is good enough for almost all of my situations and I use this lens mostly for video. It’s super light and easy to carry around. It’s a prime and very sharp. It’s a good performer.
