  • So overhyped. So simplistic. Not recommended.

My boyfriend kept on telling me that Bush is highly overrated and that they are not talented musicians. I did not choose to fully believe him as I liked a couple of their radio singles. I remember that I had many friends back in the day who really enjoyed this album, so I bought it for 11 cents plus 99 cent shipping/handling. It was not a good listen. My boyfriend, who is a musician himself, surely knew what he was talking about. The riffs are repetitive and simplistic. The vocals are also very similar or each song and are nothing special. There were only a couple of songs on this album that I could tolerate, all of the other ones sounded like something my neighbor's 16 year old kid could play in his garrage at any given time. Bush is not a talented band. It may be a bit better than ...

  • Awesome Record from Bush!

There isn't anything not to love about Bush's Razorblade Suitcase album! This dropped in late 1996, when BUSH was at the height of their fame after extensive touring all over the world. This record is an excellent sophomore effort, and although not as commercially successful as 1994's Sixteen Stone, RBSC was extremely popular with fans and it was definitely a record written by a young man, because it had Rossdale's angry angsty lyrics and sexy guttural vocals, that he became known for as soon as BUSH hit the scene. The angry young man on this record conveyed a myriad of emotions and painfully honest lyrics without sounding like the emo whiners of the 2000 decade. Buy this record if you dont already own it, a "must have" for any self-respecting 90's alt ...

  • Bush - Razorblade Suitcase

If you are a Bush fan, you will enjoy the disc overall. "Greedy Fly" is the hardest track on the album. I hate to say it, but sometimes I find myself wishing Bush was a little better. I love Gavin's voice and style, but the tracks could be better sometimes. Now, don't get me wrong, they have some AMAZING songs, but the majority are fillers, and you have to wonder if they are a bit lazy. Maybe Gav is too busy with Gwen these days? I like the album, you probably wont.

  • Not impressed

I thouroughly enjoyed Bush's debut CD, Sixteen stone; punky, hints of electronica...really cool. This CD did not impress me...it sounded experimental and misdirected. To me, it sounded as if Bush was not prepared, or surprised to have to put out a follow up. Maybe it was subtle form the previous soundscape, maybe even artistic in timbre and structur for me; but this CD bores me...if I wanted jazz improv passages, or whiny emo - I would have bought something else. Just not for me, but not to say it might agree with another...

  • Razorblade suitcase was great.

Listening to the CD, I don't think there was a single song on it I didn't like, and there were a few I loved... I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the genre.
