I purchased "3" of these Wilson Balls along with matching Wilson shirts ..... and gift boxed them for my own 19yr old son, and sent them to 2 other older nephews and they ALL LOVED IT!!!! After going through a program called SAW (Save A Warrior) which helps veterans, first responders, etc. who have life-limiting PTSD, someone close to me told me about Wilson from Castaway and how they had used that and the co-dependancy was necessary when Tom Hanks was on the island but was not useful when he was found. This really clicked with a lot of the men in his cohort, as they maintained some kind of co-dependancy while in the war zones which was necessary to survive. But after they returned, they continued to be co-dependant but found unhealthy things to become dependant on. So as he told me this, having never seen Castaway, I checked it out and and decided to order one for him as a reminder of his time and the lessons learned at SAW. The product is strong enough that we could go ... If you're a fan of Castaway, Tom Hanks and Wilson then this is an natural item to consider. I didn't buy it to play beach volleyball with or practice my serves. I got it to stick by my TV and fridge in the garage with a palm frond do and everything. Go ahead and laugh but it's definitely cool and everyone loves Wilson.
