    Book came on time and in almost perfect condition. I've read some if it. The suggestions are easy to follow and carry through. I'm a granny taking care of my grandson now after death of my daughter. Learning to parent again after many years and need a refresher course!     It Really Works.......Try IT

    The book is well written and it works. I purchased the book to help me with my 6 year old grandson. He is in kindergarten and I needed an edge in helping him learn. The time-out system works wonderfully and my blood pressure has decreased tremendously. I am also quite calm since I ceased yelling at him and he is doing great. He is a lot happier and it is much easier to get him to do what I want him to do without a lot of talk. I admit that before I got the book, I TALKED TOO MUCH. They are just children and all the chatter really means very little to them. Thanks to the author for an excellent book and I would recommend it to anyone with small ones in home.

    Thank you! I can Flex my new parenting muscle!

    This has helped my family so so sooooo much! I'm pretty critical of parenting books since they are usually confusing and don't address behavior issues that we experience in our household. But when we implement these EASY techniques, they WORK! As a warning....the first week is not easy while kids are adjusting to the new policy. I had to keep my mouth shut (the book recommends silence once youve explained to child the policy)and hold a door closed while my daughter ranted and raved and destroyed her room. But oh boy, she learned that I was serious and no matter what kind of tantrum she had, I was not going to give in. (She was 7 yrs old at the time, not a toddler) I cannot praise this book enough. I have read multiple books to guide my parenting skills and I can throw all of them away ...

    Awesome Book!

    edI used this book when my 17 yr. old was three. After only a day, he started getting the point. For years, all I had to do was say "Caleb, that's ONE" and he'd say "o.k. Mommy" -no kidding! of course he was a mild tempered and laid back child, but I think with some extra work, even strong willed children can do well with it if you use it correctly (and I'm about to find out because my youngest is one of those children!!). I had given it away when my oldest got too old for it, but have now purchased it again and will be using the system for my 18 month old (not yet, but soon) I needed some refreshing after all those years on the specifics (the "what to do when..." parts because I'm sure this little one will test me often!) The most important thing for me was that using this system ...

    "Kids are not little adults" ~ Excellent Book!

    Do you spend hours reasoning with your kids? If so, I cannot recommend this book highly enough! I bought it last year when my kindergardener started acting up in school. The principles in this book DO work amazingly well ... but you do need to be consistent. What happens at our house is we use the 1-2-3 Magic religiously, the kids shape up in a couple of days, and we get lazy after a few weeks of good behavior. That's why the book is worth it's weight in gold ~ I reread the key sections again to get myself motivated and things are back in order in no time. My absolute favorite is using it in the car. Anyone who gets counted to 3 has to go to bed a half hour early ... it works like a charm! Getting around town with three little ones is much more enjoyable!
