Virtual captains take charge of each expedition, from cargo choices and route charting to crew assignments and emergency management. Fans of the television series know the occupation lives up to its "deadliest" moniker, and some of the game's challenges involve keeping the ship and its crew safe in the adversarial conditions of the Alaskan seas. Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm incorporates video clips featuring Sig Hansen, captain of the Northwestern, who is prominently featured in the television series. Hansen serves as a technical advisor for the TV show, and also serves as a main advisor to the game's development; his signature appears on the initial release retail box.

If you're a fan of the show and always wanted to play!
Look, I'll be honest. This isn't the most graphically advanced game in the world (in fact, it's been likened to that of a PS2 game) and it's not the most action packed. BUT, if you would like to play a game that's accurate to the Discovery Channel show and the lives of the men who are on it then this is the game for you! :) Sure, the game play is slow and it takes a long time to finish a season, but guess what, so does the real thing. This is more of a simulator like The Sims where the game play is slow but it's the simulation that makes it fun. If you're looking for action packed high seas adventure, you might want to just pick up a copy of Pirates of the Caribbean on DVD. The IGN review said it best in that it is what it is. This is the best Crab Fishing game available and is true to ... Look, I'll be honest. THIS TAKES WAY TO LONG !!
I played this game 4 times (4 seasons) and man does it take forever. When you start a seaseon make sure yoo have about 3 hours in order to finish it. You can save the game mid season but if your anything like me you want to finsish what you started. I have only played on easy so far but it seams like there isnt much to do. as the skipper you just drive the boat and tell the crew what you want them to do, it gets very repetative and kinda ho hum. Im not gonna tell anyone not to buy this game because it has its moments of fun but I have played much better games for 60 + bucksI played this game 4 times (4 seasons) and man does it take forever. Buying this item was very simple. I used to fish crab myself in real life. So this was an easy buy for me. So comparing the game to the real thing which was what impressed me the most. The amount of movement and interaction with the crew, the functionality of the fishing boat is very accurate and is as close to a simulator as you will get to the real thing. So for those gamers out there who want to know what its like in real life to fish for crab, this is the game for you! All except for the fact you don't get wet, tired hungry, injured and the room is not constantly moving!Buying this item was very simple. I used to fish crab myself in real life.
