A Nice Collectible for the John Wayne fan
This figure bears a striking resemblance to John Wayne as he looked in The Green Berets movie. His uniform is well made and true to scale as are his accessories. There are a few discrepancies regarding his name tags and insignia but I imagine that was due to some legal consideration having to do with the military. He also comes with a life-sized Green Beret patch. He is probably more suited for an adult collector than for a child. Memories To Those who Served
This item is a remarkable reminiscence of John Wayne, and the Movie He stared in. It is entertaining to me as a keep sake delicate to all who served in South Vietnam. To us who came back with many different kinds of wounds that only Jesus knows about. I have many GI Joe's from the Vietnam era for my memories of Nam, of the ones who died for our country. I wish that their was a memory of some kind for all wars! The Civil War on both sides to the present day of 2020 for all to remember! Captain Brittles is done justice
If you are a fan of the classic " She wore a yellow ribbon", this figure should, in my opinion, be in your collection. Sideshow did a great job for how figures were made for that day. This is not Hot Toys standard, because that line did not exist when this was released. However, the figure has tremendous likeness and contains everything he wore from the film. Highly recommended.
