    Jeff Beck's Magnum Opus thus far!!!

    In my opinion, this release from Beck is his best. The playing is superb, the production is pristine, and the writing is spontaneous and free. This album has something for everyone. If there is anything about this cd that I didn't like it would have to be the voiceovers on the "Guitar Shop" track. Sounds like a commercial. It's not bad, but I could live without it. The song itself is amazing. If you like guitar solos blistering from beginning to end then you'll like this one. The drummer, Terry Bozzio (Missing Persons, Frank Zappa), and the keyboard wiz, Tony Hymas (Stanley Clarke, PhD, Jack Bruce), rock out with Beck. There are a couple of slow, jazz tinged tracks with beautiful classic Beck leads. The rest of the disc is total jam! While this was released in 1989, it isn't ...

    Jeff Beck RULES!

    What an underrated, and truly monumental guitar technician! You always hear people say Hendrix, or Clapton. Though they are great too, Beck has always forged his own path and created a pleasurable niche that should be checked out. Textures and tones galore. In a world that is keen to Van Halen, Satriani, Vai, and countless others.....Beck - Beck - Beck. Mad props to this man, and his guitar.

    Jeff Beck Lovers-Enjoy!

    If you are a Beck fan you WILL like this one! I bought it on vinyl almost two decades ago but now in the new digital format it not only sounds better- I can import it onto my computer. Using eBay,I obviously got a great price on it. Every track is a well structured, tightly performed-frankly, I was shocked that it was a trio. Sure, there was overdubbing but that's what studios are built to do. Hope you enjoy it.
