    Outstanding book!

    I purchased the Metal Gear Solid novel because I've always hoped that someone would bring the Metal Gear universe into the reading world; and that's what Raymond Benson did and I thank him for that. Because I played the game, I wasn't expecting anything new and other than a few minor differences, the novel was pretty much the same as the game. This doesn't mean you won't enjoy the book. I enjoyed the book just as much as I enjoyed the game. The climax of the book sent chills down my spine, just as the game did when I first played it years ago (and still do to this day). What I especially love about the book is that it's very accurate. What I mean is that in the book, they refer to Dr. Clark as a "she" and not a "he," as they did in the game.     A Metal Gear Solid Book...A Must Have !

    I was in disbelief when i saw this book in my search.i never thought it exist.i was so excited,i immediately purchased the book.after receiving it,i read a few pages,and that was it.i was hooked.i'm very familiar with the metal gear franchise.This book is accurately & heavily based on the original metal gear solid for playstation 1.which is my personal favorite in the series.Infact,85% of the dialogue from the game is faithfully retained in this book.you won't find a more accurate,authentic,& enjoyable book.

    Metal Gear Solid by Raymond Benson (2008)

    This book gets into higher detail about the Shadow Moses incident from the first Metal Gear Solid video game for the Playstation. The book reflects on Solid Snakes life and brings up events from the every Metal Gear game to make the novel seem more true to the plot. This is a must read for all Metal Gear fans!
