    Great history of pre-9/11 ANG

    Super history of Air National Guard, tons of photos and full-color illustrations.Very detailed review of the Guard's early years, back to the first aircraft in the early 1900s. Because the ANG is ever changing, this book's end doesn't capture the changes impacting us in 2018, but still a great read. The books winds down around 1992, so the War on Terrorism is not addressed, nor the role of drones as reconnaissance and weapons platforms. Still, the information up to 1992 is detailed and well presented. Highly recommended.

    an excellent book!!!!!!!!!

    get this book if you can!!!!!!!! although long out of print it is available. for all you modelers(like me) this book is a great reference with tons of great photos. even if you can't find exactly what you want, it's a great starting point plus excellent history of the air national guard, where units have been, etc. there's lots of good air guard books out there. this is one of them. if you have rene francillion's earlier book the air guard from the aerofax series, this is a great supplement updating everything.

More to explore:
