    What did you expect??

    I got this watch in 1988, brand new. If you are fortunate enough to find one and can afford it "out of the box", dont expect it to be brand new!! Take it to a jelewer, expect to fork over $400 to make it "new". True of every vintage watch - if you want it to work. Otherwise, go Andy Warhol with it.

    I feel I should have received the original box or at least a Cartier box.

    Cartier Santos W20011C4 Wrist Watch

    I bought this watch as a gift for my daughter, but when I saw it I was so impress by its beauty that I decided to give it to my wife as her anniversary gift. I knew little about Cartier watches, but I was so impress by the watch that I decided to research the Cartier line. It turns out they are real pieces of jewerly and that is the impression that I got from this watch.
