    Beautiful, very sharp lens. I prefer the mechanic of the 70-200 to the 100-400. Precise focus and fast target acquisition. Perfect for sport, wild life and any fast moving objects.

    Superb and fast focusing zoom lens with improved contrast and reduced flaring over prior versions.

    The Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8 L IS III lens is optically superb at all focal lengths. The version III EF build quality is excellent, with a weather-resistant design that helps to protect the lens from dust and moisture. Version III adds new fluorine-coated front and rear lens elements which improve durability and ease of lens cleaning. The 23 elements in19 groups are made of high-grade glass with one fluorite element and five ultra-low dispersion glass elements to substantially reduce flaring and improve contrast over versions I and II. Optically the version II and III are the same basic lens design. Auto focusing is quite fast on my R5 and useable with my extenders. I considered buying the new RF model but using lens extenders was important to me for mid range wildlife telephoto photography. ...

    It’s my favorite lens, by a far stretch. Beautiful, crisp images. Quick, quiet, smooth operation. Sturdy build. Only drawback for me is the weight. It’s a heavy lens, but there’s a lot of glass in there. ;)

    My wife loves it, so far no issues. I'm not a fan of the color of the shell, I'm worried it will show dirt quicker as my wife uses it outside, but that doesnt really matter.
