Excellent eBay transaction. The seller maintained great communication with me, responded to all my questions and concerns, and shipped immediately. The item was very well packed in multiple layers of cushioning to protect it. The item arrived in perfect condition, exactly as stated in the listing if not better. I highly recommend this seller to others, you will not be disappointed. I’m on my way to his other listings to see if there’s anything else I would be interested in. if not bette

Very seamless buying experience. Item was shipped quickly, arrived in a very well packed box, even though the item was listed as "very good shape", I was surprised at how new this lens looks and feels. The lens is basically flawless as far as a used item is concerned. I would definitely buy from this seller again!

This is the best lens for real estate photographers.

The full frame cameras love this lens. With minimal distortion you can’t get a much wider shot on a full frame camera. For real estate photographers this is essential. Natural light photography is king in the industry and this lens performs beautifully.

  • Very good

This lens seems to be really solid. I like the zoom range. The extremely wide angle of 16mm is necessary at times, but like all wide angles you get distortion which is the nature of the beast. So I really like 20mm because it reduces some of that. 35mm is my personal favorite probably because of the shallower depth of field. Love the 2.8! I really don't have any complaints except the price. That's why I bought it used on eBay and I was very pleased with the condition that it came in. I saved about $500! I think it's a good lens just not worth $1600. Get it used! I have never used the 17-40 f4 L lens, so I can't compare it to that. I really wanted the option to get as open as f2.8 so I went with this. I have used the Tokina 11-16 which is pretty good for the money, but I ...

  • great relatively low light lens

great lens. i got mine used and my only gripe about it is that it feels like there is a 'grain of sand' in the mechanism. it doesn't affect performance at all. i only notice it if i take the zoom to either extreme and then turn the focus ring further. if i keep the focus ring tuned to where the focus should be, i don't get that grainy sensation. i assume this is because i got the lens used and maybe something happened with the prior owner. but i still love the lens. it works great. the pics are super sharp. the f/2.8 aperture allows me to use it in the evenings or dark settings where i have to put my 24-105 f/4 to bed. its a great lens to use esp at dinner parties where the lighting is often low and everyone is grouped pretty close together. with this lens ...

  • Just what the doctor ordered

This lens is perfect for anyone that has the ability to stand near their subject or just loves to take expansive landscapes. Being able to focus as close as 9 inches is perfect for close quarters and the 16mm focal length gets you as wide as you would need before going to a dedicated super wide angle prime. Of course the lens has some issues but are expected in super wide angle. Distortions around the edges. All in all, I've turned to this lens as my walk-around lens. I've been shooting with this focal length range for 3 years and love it. Having upgraded from the 17-35 L, this lens does perform just as well. It's nice to be able to squeeze out that extra MM in focal length. No regrets getting this lens and I'd recommend it to anyone that likes landscape ...

  • Overrated & Overpriced

Personally, I think these "L" lenses are overrated and overpriced. Sure, they deliver better and sharper images and nice blurry backgrounds than the non "L" lenses shooting in well lighted conditions. But under low light conditions, you still need to make adjustments to get decent exposure with these "L" lenses, no difference from the regular non "L" lenses. Trust me people, you are paying more for the brand name than for the quality cause you can get the "almost" same quality with Sigma and Tamron Lenses as long as you get them with an aperture of f/2.8 or better for half the price.
