Pulling away from its predecessor, IndyCar Series 2005 takes to the high-speed oval with a host of new features. Choose from one of 15 IndyCar Series tracks, including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Chicagoland Speedway, and the newly added Twin Ring Motegi Speedway in Japan. <br><br>Players can opt to compete in an entire season, with coverage of each race provided in a TV-style format complete with race introductions by ABC Sports broadcasters. They can also choose the drivers they would like to race as and against from a selection of 33 renowned IndyCar Series stars, including Al Unser, Jr., Scott Dixon, Sarah Fisher, and Gil de Ferran.<br><br>Competing against an advanced AI system capable of producing a unique race experience from one track to the next, players may notice their computer-controlled counterparts making strategic decisions as they defend their positions, or drafting in order to pass. Don't be fooled; this newly designed AI system is supposed to be realistic, which means that even minor mistakes could require players to make quick decisions in order to avoid a collision.<br><br>Also new in IndyCar Series 2005 is the ability to go online and compete simultaneously against up to 12 other drivers in a race for the checkered flag -- and the bragging rights.

This is a bit of a unique rating, but it still is very much in favour of the seller. Unfortunately, the dvd was lost in transit after being shipped out by the agreed-upon method of delivery.     Great game, timeless racing action

    This now 5+ year-old game sure is a lot of fun to play. Sure, the graphics aren't quite up to par with today's standards, but if you like Indycar racing, this will suite you just fine! I've only played a few of the tracks so far, those being Indianapolis, Sonoma and Miami. All of which were very accurate. For the going price of this game, it's a safe bet!

    Great game for any IRL fan.

    It's a bit difficult at first, but it gets better after a bit of play time and is extremely fun. The only complaint I have would be that there hasn't been an Indy Car game since this one.

    Xbox - Indy Racing Series 2005

    I love racing games and this is one of the best ones out there in my opinion. No cops or robbers or thugs taking cars - just good realistic racing. A must for anyone who loves Indy Car racing. Highly recommend.

    Game review

    The person I bought this for says the game is excellent/fun. has enjoys it alot. Said it was hard at first(but it should be), the more he plays the game the more fun he has.
