About this product

Product Information

Resident Evil: Survivor is a spin-off of Capcom's survival horror series. Instead of giving players control of characters from a third-person perspective as in previous games, Resident Evil: Survivor takes place from a first-person viewpoint. Originally conceived as a light-gun game (Capcom opted to take this feature out of the U.S. release, citing heightened tension over gun violence), it essentially plays like one. Players may rotate their view and move up and down hallways, but when the zombies come slouching, it will be time to let loose a hail of bullets to bring them down.

Although the plot of Resident Evil: Survivor is a side-story, it still refers to the events of other Resident Evil games. Raccoon City, the now-famous American suburb gripped by an industrial plague that turned its citizens into zombies, is gone, blown completely off of the map in order to keep the dreaded virus from spreading. Unfortunately, Umbrella, the wicked corporation that created the deadly outbreak, hasn't stopped spreading its own dark research. The company has victimized another small town, and apparently in a desperate attempt to flee the carnage, a helicopter has crashed. In this chopper is a man who cannot remember who he is or what he was doing prior to the crash. He is armed with only a handgun, and ahead of him he has a task that none would envy -- to escape this nightmare town crawling with zombies and other foul creatures, and discover who he is.

Items, weapons, and enemies have all been borrowed from the main series, as has the jumpy, tense atmosphere, the strange dialogue, and the series' trademark eerie music. The only noticeable thing missing from Survivor are the puzzles found in the other Resident Evil titles. This game is about action, through and through.

Wonderful Seller! Everything was as described and came in pristine condition. Seller also didn't sell the game for scalper prices, even though the game is a Super Rare Game which I appreciate as a collector. Seller was very quick to answer all the questions I had and responded with lightning speed, legit the fastest responses I've ever gotten from a seller or company in my life! I highly recommend this seller and would be more than happy to buy from them again, thank you so much! :D

    Resident Evil Survivor

Great game and like most all RE series games this one is just as good Only issue I would take on the game is you can not save the game if you die it can be saved BUT when you go back to playing you must start all over again . SO a one time setting must be performed from start to finish or else you lose all the progress you made., Why the creators did that i do not know Otherwise still a great game to play, does not disappoint .

  • Cheesy graphics and clunky game play but an amazing storyline.

Resident Evil Survivor is an underrated game in the Resident Evil series. It was Capcom’s first attempt at making a first person shooter in the RE universe. The game play itself isn’t great. You can move smoothly but aiming, reloading and shooting in the first person mode without the benefit of a light gun make the experience difficult, especially in later levels. The graphics are also lackluster in that Capcom recycled most of the enemies from Resident Evil 2 into this game. The only new foes you will face are the Cleaners, Bioengineered soldiers that act more like animals with guns, which were a cool addition to the game and made me wish they had made appearances in other parts of the series. The one place where Resident Evil Survivor shines is the storyline. You, as the main ...

  • Probably the most UNPOPULAR Resident Evil

In some ways it was entertaining, but overall, it was probably a waste of time. your main character Ark, wakes up from a helicopter crash, not really remembering anything. from various sources that he encounters, he believes hes a bad guy name Vincent. the game immediately starts out in first person view mode in an alley. there are two to three places that you can choose to go in sections of the city. For example, when you start you can either go into the resturant or church, i forgot the other one or if its just another side to the resturant but you can't go in both, you have to choose one at a time and then when youre done with that place, it takes you to the next area. thats how it will be once you get to certain areas, like after you complete the first part, you're faced ...

  • Seen better, seen worse.

This is the first Resident Evil FPS and with that in mind it's not bad. If you're not an FPS fan pick up Resident Evil 2 instead. The controls are a mess. Most games require you to hold and press a button instead of just pressing one. This is the shortest RE game I've ever played clocking in at around 45 Minutes so this game is SHORT. The Zombie, Licker, and charcater graphics are exactly the same as Resident Evil 2. This may be the first game to have Lickers and Hunters as enemies but even so it's not the best. The story is practically non-existent as well. If you are a die-hard RE fan like I am pick up this game. You'll get an hour of enjoyment for a few bucks if you overlook Story, design, and graphics. I've seen much better FPS games so this games gets a 3 out of 5.

  • A true hidden gem

It might be a forgotten game with simple graphics but this is truly a hidden gem a Must for any Resident Evil Collector!! The game is quite easy and super fun if you have a light gun! But even with the standard PlayStation Controller you are in for a fun adventure.
