About this product

Product Information

A classic 1970s sci-fi television series, THE TOMORROW PEOPLE follows the adventures of British teens who have reached the next stage of human evolution and possess super powers. In addition to various telekinetic and teleportation abilities, these children have a secret base, the Lab, and a futuristic talking computer named Tim. In the first storyline, THE SLAVES OF JEDIKIAH, the Tomorrow People attempt to find a boy who is developing special abilities. However, they're not the only ones looking for him.... In THE MEDUSA STRAIN, the Tomorrow People jump into Hyperspace to investigate an unknown object. Finally, THE VANISHING EARTH saga marks the final regular appearances of Carol (Sammie Winmill) and Kenny (Stephen Salmon).

Item New/sealed as described; fast dispatch; took slightly longer to arrive than expected after such a fast dispatch with tracked delivery (which for some reason showed no progress until after item had been delivered 7 days later) but presumably no fault on part of seller - maybe Easter disruption at Royal Mail or something; safely packaged in padded envelope. Many thanks for great service at an excellent price for a brand new item.

  • Good programme - if a little dated

A very good series, brought back many memories Inevitably the effects look dated and 'cheap' compared with today, but on the whole the stories were good

  • Well worth the money if only for nostalgia about how TV Sci-fi used to look

Pure nostalgia for me! I bought this to refresh my childhood memories and it worked. The 'special' effects are not so special compared with todays CGI but the stories work very well both for children and, as I can now see, for adults. Some of the acting is a bit strained, some of the sets are a bit basic but it all works so well together. Return to your childhood, relive the adventures of The Tomorrow People.

  • Good value for a jaunt back into the past

A trip into all our yesterdays ,nice to have a look back , however its one of those dvd's once you've watched it will be consigned to the stockpile of dvd's you will never watch again as its served its purpose. Much like many productions in the early 70's once you put it on the large screen the illusion is broken when you see the basis Blue Peter ish gadgets that were made. and the basic script. Great for children of the 70's but todays children would expect more.

  • Great nostalgic viewing!

Great to see these again! The commentaries are both honest and hilarious - since this was a sci-fi series of 'Variable quality', and includes such gems as "A man for Emily", and the shockingly awful puppet-things, and many dubious aliens. But remembering this was done on a fraction of the budget of such things as Dr Who, nevertheless most of the time they managed to achieve an awful lot with very little. Nicholas Young is excellent throughout.

  • Great show

watched this in the 70's great show in it's time very entertaining well worth a look now after all those years
