  • Wasn't warned about a mining bios

GPU came in good condition but a bit dusty. You could tell it had been running a lot and hadn't been pulled apart to dust. It works well for about a week, but then I reliazed I was using the card on the "quiet" bios, so I flipped the switch to the performance mode and the card stopped being recognized by the Radeon drivers. I was also getting an Error 43 from Windows telling me the driver/device was defective. Come to find out this card had a bitcoin mining bios flashed on it but the selling didn't tell me this ahead of time. He or she just switched teh bios switch to the backup/quiet bios so the card would work. If you buy a similar card, look up ATI pixel clock patcher for RX 480. I had to follow the directions on troubleshooting this issue from the Techpowerup forums to fix the bios.

  • these probably do not have enough current to run of just one plug

Worn out fans would not spin after 3 minutes. Shorted the motherboard and it did not recover, was sold off for repair.

  • Works well. Just had to flash it (Fix error 43)

Works fine all but the fact that I had to flash the righty bios back on the card so windows would stop giving me error 43 (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems). It would have been nice to know it was flashed before I got it and had to fight with it. Otherwise works fine

  • High performer

When I got it, I was still in doubt of the performance of this card at such a price. To say, I am pretty amazed how it can pull quite some load. Mine stays cool enough with the incredidle fans of the Nitro+. I have had no issues with mine up to now except some driver crash which gets less frequent with updates.

  • Good, but fan noise is a bit too much.

If you're looking to upgrade from anything old to something pretty new and relatively cheap, this is the best way to go. It performs on par with an R9 390 from last gen and that was a really good card too. This is similar but cheaper. Honestly, the only downside is the fan noise. It's too goddamn loud sometimes.
