    Glorious work from a time long gone!!

    With the Golden age comic book items too expensive, too rare and (let's be honest) too fragile with the ravages of time to even read, I am a HUGE fan of these omnibus/archival collections!! Especially of the pre-code era comics previous to 1954. Will Eisner was a true artistic genius who made his creations read like a literal Noir movie. NO ONE ever did a splash page to introduce a story quite the way he did!! To have these available in complete and cronological order is a dream I've always had since I was a kid discovering this character in the 1970's Warren Magazines re-publishing of The Spirit.... And to have it in such VIVID color in hardback makes me feel like that kid again holding that first set of adventures in my hand!! I look forward to tracking down and collecting the entire ...
