      The shipping was not free, & arrived via USPS. I have weekly issues here, with USPS. I was not thrilled to pay for the shipping, given the poor history of USPS delivery service here. It took longer than expected, to arrive. It arrived well packed, in a sturdy box to protect it. The item was as described, with the proper finish. Only the escutcheon trim, had a minor flaw in it. I found this exact item, in a different finish, for much less, & free shipping. Still better value than buying it new.
