    I ended up having to disassemble the scanner to clean the underside of the glass, but aside from that, I got it working for film scanning and it does an acceptable job. It was as described, as far as I'm concerned. It was also packed well. I was more concerned with the seller's excuse about having issues accessing a printer for a shipping label, which does track with some of the other feedback from other customers about shipping delays. This seller sells good stuff, but they can be slow to ship.
