    well out of the box I mounted the tourtech and plugged in the GPS. Set a destination and took off... worked great. hit a rain storm and kept on ticking along... I can go inside a restaurant and eat without taking off the GPS now that it is in the locked secure cradle. Love it. Yes it's older, doesn't have newest maps and is thick bit it works great, easy to see while riding and easy big buttons even with motorcycle gloves on.

    Need new updates from Garmin

    It is great if you want an original GPS for your 2008 Victory Vision Touring bike. But I'm learning that you cannot update them. So technically they are absolutely obsolete. For the main highways that have been around for ever but new roads and subdivisions won't be there or show up.

    Map Update

    This product allows me to keep using an older Garmin GPS unit that Garmin no longer supports...worth the work around as the cost to redo the wiring in my motorcycle to integrate newer Garmin technology would be very expensive
