    The 1941 Wolfman is a gentle classic -- my favorite.

    This is my favorite classic horror film. The Wolfman is a very sympathetic figure. What stands out about him is that he really doesn't want to harm anyone. Lon Chaney Jr. does a first rate job of portraying this kind hearted, conflicted soul. Evelyn Ankers is wonderful as the store shop clerk. The entire cast is superb, along with excellent production values. I don't care for modern day, graphically violent films. This 1941 Wolfman has a gentle, old world appeal with a tender hearted, yet spooky storyline.
