        B&D 12 Volt Drill/driver

        This is the second one that I bought. It has the right amount of power for most things around the house. My first one, the clutch for the keyless chuck went out within the second year of ownership. Also, the keyless chuck would not get tight enough to drill a hole through a 2x4, without the bit stopping, and the drill kept running. I liked the size and weight, and the balance of the tool was pretty good. You could use it all day and not make your hand tired from holding on to it. So far, this second one is much better. Maybe B&D got some kinks worked out of the design. The clutch on the new one works great, and the keyless chuck gets tight enough to use a 1" paddle bit to make a hole through a 2x4. Do I recommend it? I hope they have the bugs worked out. If so, I would recommend ...

        24 speeds awesome

        Battery works great, as a driver works excellent, as a drill, well, it does not have the strange of the hammer drill, but it works. I recommended this item, as all my black and decker tools.

        great drill/driver

        i now own three of these 12V drills, it is cheaper to buy a drill an battery than it is to buy just a good Black & decker battery, chinese knock offs are cheaper, but i guess they might work, Black & Decker batteries made in china also
