    Almost ideal

    I've carried a leatherman micra daily for the past 15+ years and LOVE it. I wanted a larger leatherman with pliers to use for fishing and more robust tasks around the house. I've only had the tool for about a week, and while quite bulky compared to the micra, it has already proven itself more than adequate for any job I have ask of it. Already has saved multiple trips to the workshop for another tool. The knife blade (and other tools) are a little stiff at this point as I can't open the blade one-handed with my thumb. I hope it will free up a bit with additional use. Didn't think I would ever use the saw, but after a miscast left my lure high in a tree, the saw proved more than capable of downing the offending 3/4" limb.     Worn Out

    I knew the tool was used, but I expected it to be in better condition. The blade was very dull, despite previous poor attempts at sharpening which ruined the profile. The tip of the blade was broken off. So was the end of the file rendering it and the ruler less useful. Lastly the pliers were very ‘sloppy’. Overall very disappointing.

    Its a Leatherman!!!

    Very few times can someone rely on a product by just the name, but that is what leatherman is. Leatherman is a quality product and they stand behind their name with that continued service which is very apparent in every product they make. Just hold one and you will know what I mean. I bought my Sidekick after a lot of reviews and not just any reviews, but rather reviews from people who have owned their particular model for over 2 yrs. I purchased the Sidekick as an entry level test drive of what Leatherman had to offer and I was struck with an immediate passion for the brand. Now I want to purchase, try and use other Leatherman models such as the Wave which is next on my list.     Nice balance between carry weight and usefulness

    The Sidekick and its near twin the Wingman occupy a great niche in the Leatherman multi-tool family. They are in my opinion an ideal balance between a manageable light edc and a thoughtful array of useful tools.

    Great tool to keep by your side

    The aptly named Sidekick is great all around tool to keep handy for any number of applications. I've used it to process small branches in the woods when setting up traps and snares, it's great to have on a job site when you need a pair of pliers or if you want to move a hot container away from the camp fire. The Sidekick is better suited for someone who likes to spend time outside rather than some of the other Leatherman packages. It's rugged construction means this tool is up to most jobs within reason. I've lost more of these than I've broken, unfortunately. A great tool for a reasonable price.
