Product Information
PlayFirst's popular "Dash" franchise of time management titles eschews the world of 2D action games in favor of simulation and strategy in DinerTown Tycoon. More than 25 of the franchise's characters (including the ubiquitous Flo) join gamers as they attempt to build a series of restaurants and beat back the encroaching Grub Burger empire. Players begin with a single diner and a single dish to serve, with the goal of eventually opening a variety of restaurants in all five of DinerTown's districts. Gamers start each round by setting a specific menu, purchasing the requisite ingredients, paying for advertising, and performing restaurant upgrades. Players then watch as citizens choose whether to eat at hometown establishments or head to the nationwide Grub Burger joints. If gamers haven't made the correct choices before each round, Grub Burger's influence will grow too quickly, and the game will be lost. Luckily, each character has different dietary desires, and by earning cash, players can cater to specific needs by opening new restaurants and purchasing more than 90 recipes.
