    Still relevant 15 years later

    I just finished reading this book. It is still very relevant in today’s emergent culture. It's like it was written yesterday. The quotes Dr. MacArthur uses from Spurgeon still ring true today. This book will open your eyes to what is going on in the world of deception in the church. MacArthur's style and biblical knowledge are unparallel. He is a great expositor of the Word. He never compromises the Gospel and boldly stands for the Lord. Something we all need to do. Check him out on youtube, Godtube, sermonaudio.com and sermonindex.com as well as Grace To You. I also highly recommend Paul Washer and his unwavering in this day and age and Ray Comfort and The Way of the Master teachings.     A Powerful Message

    This book is a must-read for anyone claiming to be a Christian. It's author, John MacArthur, is perhaps the best person on the planet to deliver this powerful message. This is one of my all-time favorite, right up there with Mere Christianity and My Utmost For His Highest.

    Most churches no longer teach the gospel

    John MacArthur has great courage to speak the truth in this book as with all his books. He explains things clearly and directly. This book teaches and warns people how churches are not biblical anymore. Churches are focusing on what they think people want to hear instead of what they need to hear. I find nothing bad about this book.
