    Filmore East by Allman Bros remaster, same sound

    Live at the the Filmore East by the Allman Bros. was a great album. Had it on tape years ago. Hadn't heard it in years. Saw the REMASTERED version of this great classic so I wanted to give it a listen. Digitally remastered should yield crisper sound, more detailing, maybe a better listening experience? NOT !! The music was enjoyable as always, but REMASTERING yielded NO significant improvement in sound quality. I was minimally hoping for a little more dynamic soundstage. NOTHING. In fact the sound seemed flat. I needed to crank up the volume slightly (25%) sounded a bit better, but no detailing. Vocals from Greg Allman seemed the most noticeable, guitars from Betts and Duane Allman should have been prominent almost seemed a bit dull. Still love the album, especially on CD (longevity), ...

    Great Album

    Started listening to this album ( along with Black oak Arkansas " when electricity came to Arkansas" and Alice Cooper " Killer" albums ) at 5 yrs. old. I would sneak into my brothers room and listen over and over. I love Dickie, Duane, and Gregg but to me the one who shined on this album was Barry on bass. Can't go wrong buying this Album!

    Brothers are Best!!!

    In my humble opinion,the Brothers Fillmore concerts are the greatest live recordings ever made.If this album does not prove that point,then you obviously need ear surgery.
