    Perfect upgrade for an aging workstation

    Great controller. It was a perfect drop-in addition to my aging HP z600 workstation, allowing it to boot from attached drives with only minor configuration changes in the BIOS, and making it possible to use SATAIII drives at full rated speeds instead of the on-board SATAII controller. If you plan on doing this upgrade to a similar system and wish to use the built-in sata backplane for the tool-less drive cage, please note that you will need SAS to SATA cables and a couple SATA gender adapters.

    I had problems - first of all, the firmware was already old. And it took me a long time to research why he is not booted in the uefi mode? UEFI BOOT WAS NOT ADDED TO TEHE CARD BIOS!
