Excellent solution, but short-lived
We've had several of these, through different iPad models, and still have three active. The keyboard is large and easy to use, with well-spaced keys and enough stroke depth to enable heads-up typing. The case is robust, and protects the device easily (we've had a couple of 4' to 5' drops, with minor damage to the case only), folds up for transportation easily, and the Bluetooth pairing is reliable and robust. Gradually, though, the case wears out. The gooey little pads on the magnets that hold it closed are the first thing to go, followed by the same material that lines the rearmost edge of the keyboard proper. Eventually, the soft hinge that attaches the upper part, which contains the iPad, starts to deteriorate. We've not encountered battery life decay sufficient to be worthy of ... For someone who upgrades every year, this solution will work wonderfully, and the functionality is the best we've experienced. We're almost into our fourth year with first generation iPad Airs (sorry, Apple!), as well as a semi-retired iPad 2 used for home automation in our guest suite, and have replaced both mainline cases one time each, recently. I have no regrets, and examining reviews for other such devices offered me no encouragement to try something different.

Nice keyboard case...totally lacking in documentation.
I ordered this keyboard after reading a very positive CNet review, but am, overall, disappointed. There is virtually no documentation: no instruction manual available...neither in print nor online ( with the exception of a few articles on the Belkin website). The ads tout "App Enabled", but no-one, including their customer service reps ( who, by the way, took 30 minutes on hold to access) could provide any information on how to set up the shortcut keys to apps. What good is a desirable feature if the consumer can find no way to enable it? So far, I have logged (read: wasted) over 3 hours aggregate on the phone with Belkin reps, with VERY limited results. Surely, there must be another keyboard case from another company that cares enough about its customers to provide written ... A Bluetooth keyboard that works all the time
Third one I’ve owned, works great, reliable, stays connected. Ive used other keyboards, Bluetooth not reliable, this one works, no matter what. It’s only drawback, the frame which holds the ipad is plastic, and i am a little rough on it, in and out of backback, motorcycles, trains, planes, Have broken two of the frames, but the product is otherwise so reliable, I have replaced it exactly every time. If only they could make the frame of a durable metal like the keyboard, a little heavier, but I would be all for that.Third one I’ve owned, works great, reliable, stays connected. Awesome iPad Air keyboard
I had this same model for 7 years. The keyboard was still working, but the connecting fabric that joins the cover to the keyboard was quite worn. Am delighted to find I was able to find an exact replacement. This is an awesome keyboard!
