Lots smaller than the Flex TT5.

Put your AC3 zone controller on top of this, after you put this on top of your camera. These can be found cheap on eBay. It's easy to follow the directions and make this work. It will let you set off units that you can't even see, from very far away. With TTL. This is what convinced me to buy the system. Just remember to check if it's for Nikon and if it's for the US and not European version (unless you use Canon or live in Europe, of course) and it will work with your gear. There is plenty of information to review while you wait for all your gear to come in. For example, there are some good videos on youtube related to the pocketwizard. I enjoyed the series of videos "Pocket Wizard ControlTL 'Mild to Wild' ", by JerryPH Photography, where you can see how to use hypersync, TTL vs. ...

  • Quality and great product support

At last count I have a dozen of these units. And yes, I do recommend them. I bought my first as soon as they were released for Nikon. They mesh perfectly with Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS). They work simply out of the box using the CLS system controls in camera but extending the range to hundreds of feet, eliminating need for line of sight, and no worries about bright sunlight. The TT5 and MiniTT substitute radio waves for infra-red. The control pre-flashes are eliminated, being replaced with radio signals. Only a metering pre-flash is used in TTL, and no pre-flash at all in manual control. This eliminates or reduces pre-flash induced blinks or reactions. I use a MiniTT on camera because it is smaller and lighter. But good to know a FlexTT5 can be used on camera if needed. These ...

  • LET THERE BE adjustable LIGHT

I have 3 of these. They are pretty much necessary for remote power level control of lights using the Pocket Wizard system. I haven't had any trouble from any of the many Pocket Wizard products I own. They all just work as intended. These Flex TT5s are among the most versatile of the triggers PW offers. Good quality product. Very useful.

  • Another Flex TT5 for Nikon added to my studio set-up.

Adding this FlexTT5 to my collection gives me four (4) now to expand my studio lighting capabilities. It works perfectly with my MiniTT1 and AC-3 ... and my Nikon D850 with four Speedlights (SB-5000s and SB-600s). These are harder to find these days, especially new, and although the technology may be aging, they still work great giving me terrific control over a 4 speedlight system. And, unlike Nikons own system, they work up to hundreds of feet. Seller got it to me quickly, and in good order.
