    Good but not super sharp...

    The lens I received was in pristine condition.. I used it on my Nikon d810.. as you might expect, the focus speed is not fast but not bad either. The images are good but not as sharp as you would get from a 70-200 vrii (I used the 70-200 vrii for almost a month). But for the price, this is a very good backup to have in your bag. Try to use it during sunny days and with a faster shutter speed..

    overall not A bad lens. A little weighty but is a 210.

    As a newcomer to dslr and diving into full manual mode, I might be short changing this lens. I also have a Pentax 75-210 which,in manual mode,gets better results. Both lens were subjected to indoor lighting with a large spectrum of color.With camera settings similar, the nikon struggled to get it right.Again this is my first dslr and haven't ventured into natural sunlight. Hopefully I'll raise the bar abit

    Nikon quality and rugged perfection in one package

    It is a Nikon! The name says it all. I have been shooting with Nikon 35mm cameras since 1974 when I got serious about photography and darkroom work. Nikons are a tank when it comes to durability, and performance in all shooting situations. You can buy cheaper, but you will be hard pressed to buy camera and lens of th0is quality.
