About this product

Product Information

In 1978, Stephen King introduced the world to the last gunslinger, Roland of Gilead. Nothing has been the same since. More than twenty years later, the quest for the Dark Tower continues to take readers on a wildly epic ride. Through parallel worlds and across time, Roland must brave desolate wastelands and endless deserts, drifting into the unimaginable and the familiar. A classic tale of colossal scope crossing over terrain from The Stand , The Eyes of the Dragon , Insomnia , The Talisman , Black House , Hearts in Atlantis , Salem s Lot , and other familiar King haunts the adventure takes hold with the turn of each page. And the tower awaits.... The Second Volume in the Epic Dark Tower Series The Drawing of the Three While pursuing his quest for the Dark Tower through a world that is a nightmarishly distorted mirror image of our own, Roland is drawn through a mysterious door that brings him into contemporary America. Here he links forces with the defiant young Eddie Dean, and with the beautiful, brilliant, and brave Odetta Holmes, in a savage struggle against underworld evil and otherworldly enemies. Once again, Stephen King has masterfully interwoven dark, evocative fantasy and icy realism."

  • The journey continues

This is the second book in the Dark Tower series by King. If you are unsure about starting a 7-book epic, as I was, let me assure you - if you a fan of Stephen King or fantasy fiction, you will not regret reading this series. The Drawing of The Three mixes our world, New York, with Roland's world as he crosses the line to draw his 3 companions who will join him on his journey to The Dark Tower - companions who, at first, don't believe what is happening to them, indeed fight to get back into their world rather than face ka - that is, to become gunslingers themselves. The mixture of spaghetti western and great fantasy continues as the worlds interact and Roland's three become a ka-tet.

  • The best series EVER!

I've enjoyed reading this series so much I'm on my 6th time through it! There are many different ways to get these books- some hard cover, some paper back, each has different illustrations by different atrists or no illustrations. Although it is nice to get hard covers, I find getting the cheapest paperbacks is more economical as they are read frequently. Such is the case with this version! Cheap, but still quality and still the same great epic story!

  • Like Stephen King books, or not, the Dark Tower series is worth a read!

Even if you are not a Stephen King fan, the Dark Tower series is worth reading. It is an intriging story of a magical, dangerous and very complex world that at times becomes connected to the 'real' world. If you are a Stephen King fan, you will soon discover that this other world has broken through and made itself known to you in a lot of your favorite Stephen King books. Whatever your opinion of Stephen King (good writer or hack), the Dark Tower series is good entertainment.

  • This is a fantastic book in an amazing series!

I love these books so much! This was a brand new copy and it was so reasonably priced. It shipped quickly. I'm very happy.
