Awesome new puppy training and support manual for their owners.
My new puppy is smarter than me. She can open her wire crate doors, jumps a three foot baby gate, climbed over a five foot stack of two baby gates and many other things I have yet to learn. This book is helping me to understand my high energy puppy and the need for me to learn how to train her. She and I will be going into training in the near future. In the meantime the book is a valuable resource for me.My new puppy is smarter than me. Best Training Book I've Found Out There!
This is a great dog training manual! It focuses primarily on step by step basics which is what my dog and I needed most. Many other books and DVDs spend too much time discussing the "pack" mentality and general behavior information. This book provides that as well, but really addresses the specific "How To" steps to training. The author teaches how to utilize positive management tools instead of reactive punishment which has made for a happier training experience for my dog and I. Also, use of the clicker technique and treats has done wonders. We got our 1 1/2 yr old dog at a shelter and she had very limited training. She is turning out to be a fabulous dog who walks on a leash now, jumps up on people less (still working on that), comes when called, sits, can fetch, shake, chews her ...
