The Fab Four take center stage once more in this exclusive Rock Band spin-off. More than a compilation of songs from the Beatles, the game re-creates the band's historic concerts, signature instruments, and changing appearances over the span of a 12-album career. Digital versions of John, Paul, George, and Ringo will not only perform at authentic venues, but also within dreamlike environments inspired by some of the band's more colorful songs. As with previous entries in the Rock Band franchise, the game involves playing songs by following onscreen cues with one of four peripherals: a microphone, lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Vocals now offer three playable parts, a first for the series, including one lead and two harmonies. A built-in vocal trainer will help you get accustomed to singing each melody, as you are able to freely switch between all three parts with a press of a button. Three microphones are required to harmonize with your friends. Featured on the disc are 45 tracks, including "Back in the U.S.S.R.," "Here Comes the Sun," "I Feel Fine," "Taxman," "Octopus' Garden," "Get Back," "Day Tripper," "I Saw Her Standing There," "I Am the Walrus," and "I Want to Hold Your Hand." Downloadable content is also supported to expand the initial track list, with 1969's Abbey Road the first album scheduled for online distribution. The "Special Value Edition" contains the full game and standard instrument peripherals, rather than the Beatles' replica instruments featured in the "Limited Edition."

Super fast shipping and good packaging. However, the cd case and cd itself arrived dirty and dusty. I wiped everything off. I’m playing the cd and so far there is a skip on Jesse’s Girl along with scratches on the disc. I’m assuming the price reflects the condition but I wish this had been mentioned in the item description. Other than that, I can’t complain considering the price I paid and the super fast shipping. The Beatles: Rock Band (Special Value Edition)Wii,2009
I got this a couple of weeks ago. For someone fairly new to gaming in general and to the Wii in particular, with the directions,setting it up was fairly simple. I like the way that everything is color coded and positioned in the same place on screen as on the instruments. The song choices are good and categorized to the difficulty level. I would have liked to see a couple of other songs that were not on there,but; from my understanding you can add songs by downloading them which would be great! I have found that being familiar with the music helps when you attempt to play them. I like the fact that the instruments are compatible with other "band" games and available with other game systems,although like a lot of things there are limitations. The one thing that would improve this product ... I got this a couple of weeks ago. If you are a Beatles fan, you will love this version of Rock Band. The instruments are different, they have different style guitars, one being larger than the other. There are also different designs on the instruments. I noticed the sound being a lot different with this version. If you miss a note on guitar or drums, you will definitely hear it being missed. I applaud the graphics, settings, and characters. They put a lot into this Rock Band with the Beatles concert venues, costumes, songs, singing, etc. Some of the songs were tough to get through and are very slow paced. My sons and their friends as well as myself enjoyed playing with The Beatles: Rock Band Edition. The Beatles: Rock Band Edition was easy to use, very entertaining and fun. I bought it because my boys had saved enough money to buy it on Ebay. Would recommend it to anyone. The only dislike is that they need to offer MORE Beatles songs for purchase. Thank You!

I grew up listening to the Beatles because of my parents. My mother loves the Beatles to this day. It has been really fun playing a game with my three kids, and enjoying the same music that I grew up with. They love the music too! I don't think there is any other musical group that has touched so many different generations as the Beatles. This has been amazing, and I can hardly wait for my own Mom and Dad to come over and play with us. It has been easy to learn as there are different levels to play on. My sons are very good on the guitar and drums, so when they play with me, they can play at a different level than me. I of course, am a beginner. I love this game... and I'm an adult.
it was an affordable buy that has brought us as a family together. We enjoy hours of enjoyment on this game. The music is great, the modes are great for a beginner but can change fast for more experenced players like my kids. and with the rock band addition I am not only limited to Beatles game but can use the items for other rock band games to.
