can put amplifier where you need it. 7 stars

I put this in a basement window with a metal window well on the outside so it was basically sitting at ground level and it picked up 34 stations. I can't complain about that. the best feature though is the ability to place the amplifier any where in the line you need it. that feature alone is worth 7 stars. the stick on has a lot of surface so use a piece of scotch tape until you find the correct placement. I own 2 of these and 1 is pulling in 28 channels on 1 TV and 26 on another just using the cable wire in my home. that's just 1 antennae for 2 TV's. the other antennae is pulling in 34 channels. like all OTA antennae's you will lose channels at times due to weather etc. but I just rescan. A HEADS UP, if you use the coax cable in your home for the antennae, make sure your internet is NOT ...

  • Top critical review

Inline amplifier failed at 8 months...

Worked well within the first 8 months until the inline RF amplifier died. Bypassed the amplifier and the signal is so weak now for our location that it will only pick up strong stations. Best investment advise: If your an avid over the air TV watcher and located in areas with lot's of RF or TV signal obstructions, an outdoor hi gain antenna is a better and more reliable approach:)

  • Performs as advertised and reviewed

Tried other flat indoor antennas with limited success-only 6 channels. The others had to be repositioned in different weather conditions and were very fickle about location and direction. The Eclipse delivers 23 channels consistently and 4 or 5 at intervals. Hung it high (13ft) on wall between windows and have not had to move it. I live in hilly wooded area 45 - 60 miles from "big city" stations and get them ok. It performs well and I have stopped looking for an antenna.

  • Works well with one major modification

It honestly wasn't working any better for me than my previous indoor antenna that didn't have a signal amplifier. Then I upgraded the coaxial cable. Much better! Should consider upgrading the cable it comes with.

  • Pulls in stations well from 30 miles with a window mounting.

Purchased this to switch from Cable to OTA in the Chicago area (Am 30 miles from most towers). I followed setup troubleshooting that they show on website when I only got about 5 channels set up indoors. With that guidance, I tried a window mounting; I found a way to get over to a sliding glass door to mount and got much better reception there. Still was missing CBS so called their help line. They recommended adding their vhf booster aerial ($20) to this one, so bought that and set it up. Now am getting all 4 major networks, plus 30+ additional channels. Total of 14 HD channels. And a plus: I compared my HD on the main networks between the aerial and my cable (ATT Uverse) before I shut it off, and the picture is better OTA, especially on football and other sports. So a Plus there. Also: ...
