    Great overview of the variety of vintage buttons on the market

    This book is great for a beginning collector or reseller trying to make sense of all the different kinds of buttons on the market. Like many readers, I read the book for the information rather than the price guide, though the price guide does give one an idea which ones are more desirable than others. Price guide is a bit cumbersome to use but that's ok. It's a reference, not the main attraction. Lots of nice color photos in the book and explanations about the different kinds of materials from which buttons were made and the different types of shanks.
