    Enter small town living with our future summed up.

    If you have even a smidgen of country/rural life in your background, you will get a kick out of the language. Humorous and poignant text. I enjoyed reading it so much that I bought 3 additional copies for family members.

    Can't Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg

    In typical Fannie Flagg style, this book is set in a small town in the South with stereotypical characters who are both amusing and somewhat cartoonish in their thinking and actions. The story centers around the "death" of an elderly woman, the reactions of her friends and family. She has a journey in "death" then returns to the living, as it apparently isn't her time yet. This is an entertaining and easy book to read and if you like a light-hearted story, it's the one for you!

    It's a Wonderful Life in Elmwood Spring MO!

    This is Fannie Flagg's third trip to Elmwood Spring MO and what a thoroughly enjoyable trip it is. Jam packed full of quirky characters, just like you'll find in every small town across America, you can't help but become emotionally invested in their lives. Aunt Elner is a priceless gem and I am proud to know someone very much like her in real life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to spend some time chuckling and perhaps shedding a tear or two but coming away feeling just a little more optimistic about the state of the world.
