About this product

Product Information

For courses in Control Theory, in departments of Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Reorganized for use in any length course, this introductory text provides an in-depth, comprehensive treatment of a collection of classical and state-space approaches to control system design. It ties the methods together so that a designer is able to pick the method that best fits the problem at hand. The authors provide case studies and comprehensive examples with close integration of MATLAB throughout.

  • International 5th Edition of Feedback Control

This is a review of the international version bought from China. I am only dealing with the issues that make this book different from the US edition. The good news is the problems at the end of each chapter are the same as in the US edition. For me this is critical, it means that I don't have to make photocopies of the home work problems from a US edition. But there are some issues with this book. The appendixes and all the end of the book stuff is missing; only a few critical pages of it are there. However, the US edition doesn't have solutions to homework problems anyway so you are not missing anything there. You will be missing an appendix on Laplace Transforms and another on Complex Variables and some answers to "end of chapter question" that I doubt any professor will ever give ...

  • FeedBack Controllers

This subject is actually very hard, but the book really explains and goes over the topics fairly well. You are definitely going to need to use another resource like a Differential Equations book to better understand this book, but the books pretty good.

  • OK Textbook

The conceptual review questions at the end of each chapter are useful, as well as something that I don't see that often in engineering textbooks.

  • international edition

the international edition is not exactly like the hardcover book. the chapter problems are not numbered accordingly and some problems are missing. the contents mostly resemble so if the instructor assigns homework from the book, go for the hardcover one.

  • Feedback Control Of Dynamic Systems by Abbas Emami-Naei

just the right book for anyone who wants to understand the control systems...starts with fundamentals and take you thru real physical applications to better understand the concepts...
