I was hesitant about the whole wireless earphone idea, and was afraid that they would sound quite worse then regular earphones. But thankfully this is not the case, the sound quality is great. Even with the earphones that came with the mp3 player, and would like to see how those $200+ earphones made by other companies would sound. The earphones are slightly larger then most earbuds but aren't heavy at all, although I'd recommend using the ear clips, just because it's much more stable with them and if those suckers fly off they gona hit the floor for sure. The range is about 30 feet, and had no problem going through walls, or around wireless routers or cordless phones. Outdoors though it seems the range is less, didn't actually measure that. Now for the mp3 player itself it's awesome, it looks good, feels good (rubberized), and it's really light and quite small. 1 GB of memory is more then enough for a workout mp3 player, the screen is nice and vibrant, but I wouldn’t by this mp3 for video or picture viewing, since the screen is 1 inch in diameter. This mp3 player was really designed for working out, and does this job better then any other mp3 player available, the iPod shuffle is the only one that could maybe compare to it, but the wireless earphones make it way better. Note that the earphone don't go as loud as regular ones, they go loud but nowhere near as loud as regular ones. And you can still hear surrounding noises, which is great for roller-blading since you hear cars, not so great for blocking out sound in the bus; the bass is ok for earbud styled headphones, not as great as larger ones obviously or as those insanely expensive earphones. All the rest is pretty much standard, the player works with multiple music management software, has BMI, step and calorie counters, a few preset eq's, shuffle song order, and you can browse songs by artist, album, genre etc, battery life is fine. Overall a great mp3 player from RCA it's too bad they don't sell them in Canada, and most stores won't ship them here, I got lucky on eBay and got one for a reasonable price. Also a few things if you own the player make sure you turn the earphones off when done if they don't turn off automatically when the player goes off, since you'll waste your battery. Also the volume adjust on the earphones is independent of the volume on the player, so you can go loudest if both are maxed. The mp3 player and the earphones each charge on there own usb cable, so a 2 port ac to usb charger might be worth getting. Don't worry about arm/wrist bands it comes with the player and attach to its sides. So again remember this is designed for active lifestyles, not to carry your entire music and video collection a la iPod (the wireless tech used in this mp3 player is also available in an iPod adapter style gadget if that's what you want). Hope this helped anybody out there, since for some reason reviews on this mp3 player seem to be far a few between.
