    A role model for loyalty

    A classic from the 60's, the actors and urchins portray a wonderful Scottish brogue and a great turn of a phrase. The child actors are especially good. And Bobby is well-portrayed. I visited the statue and kirkyard in Edinburgh last month: his legend lives on and is well-attended and respected. Truly a wonderful story in real life and in the movie.

    Disney Greyfriars Bobby

    This is a wonderful (true story) about Jock and his dog Bobby. Great family movie! I saw this movie years ago and loved it then 20+ years later, I still love it as did my grandchildren. After the Christmas Holidays, I saved a dog from crossing an extremely deadly highway...To my very surprise! Not knowing what he actually looked like, when I rescued him (He looks just like Greyfriars Bobby!) No ID on dog and tried to find the owners (Because he was so adorable and smart, I thought someone would surely be missing him!) Lots of calls, but not for this guy. Adopted him and took him to the vet for all of the shots that would be required. Bought the movie so my grandchildren could listen and see the story. Bet you can't guess what I named my new guy?? "Greyfriars Bobby" He ...

    The movie came fast, as described, and a good price. Thank you.

    This movie popped up when I was looking for another movie. I have never seen this movie, but I Googled what it was about. The movie is based on a true story, about a terrier dog that protects his owner's tombstone for 14 years in Edinburgh, Scotland during the Victorian era. When the dog died from old age, the town actually made a tombstone for the dog. The dog is buried at the entrance gate of the cemetery, not far from his owner's tombstone. This movie sounded interesting, I like movies that are based on true stories, because I learn something new. The title of the movie references two key aspects of the film. Greyfriars is name of the cemetery in which the dog's owner is buried at, and Bobby is the name of the dog. Thank you for the movie.

    Bobby

    Delightful true story about an old man named Jock and the dog that loved him. When Jock dies Bobby continues to remain faithful to old Jock by lying on his grave in the heat and cold until his own death 14yrs later. A very touching and beautiful story for all to enjoy.
