Put 3 tabs on the edge where the tube scrunches down. Used 1 inch marine shrink tape because it has hot melt type glue coated on the inside to create a water-tight seal . Placed a half inch on the plastic and ran a half inch the warmed up material at a 90° angle and held it there till cooled,the vent does not fall off when cinched down on the tube when repositioning. It is pliable and rubbery so no tear or abrasion issues. The only thing was it took some time before the shipping STARTED.
