I guess I should have read the item description first, before placing and order. Good item however its true as stated. incandescent Bulbs ONLY, wont work with LED or CFL bulbs. Having used similar product in the past I could not resist the price and purchased one just to find out the hard way that unless I will be willing to use incandescent bulbs the product will be useless. I gave it four stars since it works as advertised, however I don't know how would it handle cloudy weather and or its durability.I guess I should have read the item description first, before placing and order. Good price; however extra length may not allow it to be used in most fixtures. Also tried using it in another outdoor light fixture with a dimmable LED 60W bulb as well as an indoor lamp. In both cases - when it was dark, it just flickered like a strobe light; not sure if it is turning on, then turning off when seeing it's own light, then turning back on again; happens very quickly like a strobe. All I know is it's unusable for all my uses so far Note: standard incandescent bulb seems to work, but flickers when it first turns on, and as it gets darker it flickers less and bulb gets brighter. Low output with incandescent light bulb
Well, despite the loads of bad reviews, I had to try for myself. And like most others, I experienced the very low output from my lightbulb with this device. The sensor seems to work fine. On at dusk, off at dawn. But the lightbulbs we at maybe 10% which is not acceptable. I went with a different brand made in the USA, paid about twenty three dollars with shipping. And these USA brand already have more promise. The seller shipped fast. But the product is not good. I am sad to say, these just don’t work well.Well, despite the loads of bad reviews, I had to try for myself. I bought two packs of this product. I was misled by the words seen on the photo of the pack as I could only see on the ebay website. It said "turns ANY lambs into home security system". I could not found from the photo that the lamp sensors are not suitable for LED light bulbs. When I tried to use them for my LED light bulbs, they flashed all the time. They are useless for me.
