About this product

Product Information

European developer Cauldron's follow-up to The History Channel Presents: Civil War -- A Nation Divided trades bayonets for sub-machine guns in Battle for the Pacific. This first-person shooter has players fighting alongside a close-knit squad in some of the most intense battles fought in World War II's Eastern Front. From Henderson Field to Mount Suribachi, players will advance through thick jungles, across volcanic islands, and past fortified caves to complete objectives. Documentary videos preface each mission, offering detailed statistics, battle footage, and other enlightening information. Authentic mission types include recapturing airfields, repelling enemy assaults, embarking on search-and-destroy operations, and more. Among the weapons available to players are sub-machine guns, sniper rifles, pistols, and grenades.

    Fun and educational.

Game arrived quickly and was in great condition. I am enjoying the game and I think it will take a long time to finish. The game is realistic and historically accurate and I'm actually learning a bunch of things I didn't know.

  • The History Channel: Battle for the Pacific

Being new to video games, I found this game to be challenging. As I work my way thru it I am learning more how to complete my missions in less time. The graphics are good, but I believe the contrast is too dark at times making it hard to find the enemy. The enemy does take a long time to "kill" you at times. All in all I consider it a good game.

  • Once you try it you'd love it!

This game really is a great experience for the WII player. I really enjoyed this game, it really takes the WII experience to the next level. I played this game for so long I totally lost track of time. It does take a little while of game play to really get the controls down right but once you do you will love this game! This game is GREAT for the person who loves war games. All in all I give this game a 9 out of 10!
