  • Stronghold Legends (not as good as the original)

If you liked the original castle building sim you'll like this game. I feel it's lacking in gameplay compared to the original but, there is just something awesome about hurling werewolves over the enemies walls to wreak havok. If you're new to the stronghold series I'd reccomend buying the the first three titles (Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader, and Stronghold 2) before buying this one. All in all it is a very fun game with plenty of mythological creatures, good story lines, varies from easy to damn near impossible, but yet is still lacking alot of castle building features the other games have, and sometimes it feels a bit repetitive. Overall good game.

  • Stronghold Legends is OK

I bought this game for my son who loved the Stronghold Crusader game. He really likes legends mythical monsters and fantasy aspects. But it does have some draw backs as well. Tha game tends to be dark and the map editor is much more complicated. He likes the ability to personalize your icon and colors and so on, but dislikes that you are limited to only 6 personas. So I'd say it is worth the money, it's a good game if you are a fan of the Stronghold line. But I wouldn't say it's great or one of the top games I've played at all.

  • Great Game.

I used to own this game, I have no idea where it went or how i misplaced it, I went on ebay and found it and didn't hesitate. I love the game, it's basically a more strategic, and a little better version of Age Of Empires, while there are a few parts that are a little out of the world, like Dragons, it brings a great meaning to the Stronghold philosophy. How can you hold up against your own walls when the enemy is trenching forth? This is a true strategic test, becuase instead of being able to scamper villagers around the map so you have a chance to live after death of your community, you must stay in a refined zone, and once your first chance is lost, there is no second chance. This is a game for those who like Age of Empires but want more fierce battles, Loved it. Always will, and Im ...

  • My #1 favorite RTS game of all time!

Who wouldn't like to take control of a castle (which you build from the ground up) and command troops like King Arthur and Sir Lancelot? I know I sound like a complete dork, but this is the most fun you can have if you enjoy a good strategy game. Everything moves in real time; but have no worries, you can speed up or slow down the game on the fly. You can command dozens of different troops split up into three different groups: King Arthur 'good', Siegfried 'neutral' and Vlad 'evil'. Depending on what leader you choose you have access to different troops and new legendary units like frost giants or the aforementioned knights of the round. If you've played the last installment (stronghold 2) the graphics got a minor upgrade and the single player campaign is longer, not to mention a few ...
