"...fascinating and passionate" - Kirkus Reviews   "In this surprisingly readable memoir, [Lipton] and her cowriters have managed to make her various encounters into more than mere name-dropping, with each short chapter becoming a small slice of life...Her story holds out attention both for the life it chronicles and changing times it encompasses." -- Booklist    , "...fascinating and passionate" - Kirkus Reviews "In this surprisingly readable memoir, [Lipton] and her cowriters have managed to make her various encounters into more than mere name-dropping, with each short chapter becoming a small slice of life...Her story holds out attention both for the life it chronicles and changing times it encompasses." -- Booklist, ..."fascinating and passionate" - Kirkus Reviews  "In this surprisingly readable memoir, ÝLipton¨ and her cowriters have managed to make her various encounters into more than mere name-dropping, with each short chapter becoming a small slice of life...Her story holds out attention both for the life it chronicles and changing times it encompasses." -- Booklist

  • I definitely recommend this book!

Watched her TV show Mod Squad when I was a young teenager. I would say she was sort of a tv crush. I did not know she recently passed away and when recently reading about it found that she had a autobiography and bought a copy on Ebay. Found the book to be very interesting and captivating with some very good insights. Once you got into it it was hard to put down.

  • A Great Honest Read

I love the honesty and courage that Peggy showed in writing this Memoir. I decided to buy this book because I once met Peggy when I was involved in a homeless organization back in 2000. I told her that I thought her ring was beautiful and she literally toook it off of her finger and gave it to me. I still have it and her story of trying to find a place in this world she could call her own mirrors my life.I can relate to the mixed race marriage and society's reactions, even to this day. My daughter even looks a little like Rashida her youngest.

  • Good Reading

Learned a lot about Peggy Lipton I did not know, very interesting.
