    Invaluable, and well worth the read.

    The author has obvious expertise, and covers not just "how" to make all sorts of things, but the options available, and "why" the reader might or should make a particular choice. She includes information on boat interior design, materials, and color choices, as well as enough specific projects to keep me sewing instead of sailing for a very long time. As one whose goal is just to replace the indestructible but ghastly 1970's cushions on board, while still being able to afford little things like food, shelter, and actually being able to sail, this book is well worth both the cost and the time to read and re-read it. This book has a different structure and approach than "The Complete Canvasworker's Guide" by Jim Grant. I've found both to be invaluable, and strongly encourage that anyone with ...
