About this product

Product Information

Dom DeLuise stars in this series created by Carl Reiner, Bill Persky, and Sam Denoff. Originally airing in 1973, LOTSA LUCK showcased Deluise's comic talents against a cast of other notables including Jack Night, Beverly Sanders, and Kathleen Freeman. The series revolves around Stanley Belmont (DeLouise), a custodian for a New York City bus company's lost-and-found department. His amusing workplace antics are set off by a ridiculous home-life. Living under the same roof as his antagonizing mother (Freeman), spastic sister (Sanders), and her slacker husband (Wynn Irwin), Stanley struggles to keep his sanity while trying to earn a buck. The entire series is presented here, with amusing cameos by Suzanne Somers, Harold Gould, and Ruth Buzzi.

    Great Cast

    The life of a blue-collar working man (Dom DeLuise), who tolerantly supports his leeching, dysfunctional, and at times, comical family. The loafing brother-in-law is IMO, the funniest part of the show. Although provoking the occasional chuckle; the drab, Brooklynesqe set, coupled with less than attractive, frumpish characters don't completely assuage a mild feeling of melancholy after watching too many episodes in a row. One almost yearns for the Beverly Hillbillies posh environs and Ellie Mays moronically charming and attractive maidenhood after enduring LL. This, IMO, was the reason the show lasted one season and not the brilliant cast or scripting. The show does have it's moments though.

    It's supposed to be money guarantee I shouldn't have to buy another lots of luck full series again . one disc of my full series is missing . I do like lots of luck it is not my fault that one disc is missing

    It is good show, the first disc starts out kinda slow until you get familiar with the characters. Similar to All In The Family, I enjoy watching these old shows.
