  • If you only buy one book on writing fiction...

If you write fiction, you need this book. I have probably three dozen books on writing on my shelf (I'm also an English teacher) and this is the only book I can say "If you only buy one book on writing" about. Gerke writes in a clear and approachable style. The info he covers is both very practical and very insightful. This book will greatly influence the way to approach writing fiction. If you are planning to write a novel or needing to revise one, you need this book.

  • It's All Here

I'm working on my first novel. This is the first resource book I've found that is packed with all the essentials. Jeff Gerke has pulled together an enormous amount of information and experience into one book. There are many good resource media out there, but this is the one I'd now recommend as the place to start and keep as a good reference for the serious writer.
