Hasui Kawase - A Japanese shinhanga master
For anyone who enjoys Japanese woodblock prints, this book contains many beautiful images from master Hasui Kawase. These are shinhanga prints reproduced to a very high quality, and are reminiscent of impressionist paintings, especially in the way weather conditions are represented so effectively for example, rain, snow, reflections, and light and dark. Highly recommended for anyone interested in art in general, or specifically in Japanese woodblock prints. A beautiful book but please note the text is entirely Japanese.
