    Colored Pencils by Morrell Wise

    This is a Walter Foster book. It's not long, but it's very clear in what it explains. Morrell Wise is an excellent colored pencil artist who's good at breaking down the basics of using the medium, and if you're a beginner this may be just the book for you. If not, there are still some projects and images in here that may be inspiring, like the red grapes Mr. Wise drew for the cover on one version (the other cover version shows a landscape). Morrell Wise is a colored pencil realist who's done amazing landscapes, and one of the best points in this book is that one of his lake, trees and mountains landscapes is included with some of the steps on the way to completion. I bought it partly because Morrell Wise was the first colored pencil realist artist I'd ever seen. He did the cover image for ...
