class is dull, book's not bad.
the way bolman and deal write makes reading about management styles interesting. they use cases to help illustrated the four frames and concepts within each frame. the only fault i've found with it so far is similar: they tend to use the cases to describe concepts instead of just defining them. it would be more clear if they defined everything instead of using metaphors all the time. i hope this makes sense. i like the cases, but they tend to use them too much, basically.the way bolman and deal write makes reading about management styles interesting. they use cases to help illustrated the four frames and concepts within each frame. the only fault i've found with it so far is similar: they tend to use the cases to describe concepts instead of just defining them. it would be more clear if they defined everything instead of using metaphors all the time. i hope this makes sense. i like the cases, but they tend to use them too much, basically.
